As 2018 comes to an end, I thought this would be a perfect session to share…
I went 100% full-time with my dream job this year, THIS. RIGHTHERE. Photographing all the memories for my beautiful clients!
These moments right here is what it’s all about - I get to spend time with my own family while documenting yours. It’s the best of both worlds, and I absolutely love what I do and am so thankful for all of those who allow me to capture these special memories for them!
This family right here have been clients of mine since 2015… they were my bride and groom first, I captured moments for them at home with their sweet baby girl when she was born in 2017, and this year I got to capture some family Christmas photos for them. I love watching my clients families grow, and with 2018 coming to an end I am just feeling so very thankful for this journey I am on… and I can’t wait to see what 2019 has in store!
Thank you to everyone who follows along to my journey as well, all of your likes, comments and bookings mean the absolute world to me. I wish you all nothing but the best for another year of health, happiness and good times - now go hug those love ones tight and celebrate the coming of another year with them! Cheers to 2019!
I was so excited when Michelle reached out to me to photograph her wedding. She was a bridesmaid in her best friend’s wedding that I had photographed about 6 years ago now, and I was honoured she wanted me to capture her special day as well! Hearing the details of her day had me excited as it was at a local brewery and was a small celebration with love and support from their closest family and friends.
The day started off beautiful, sun shining, breeze blowing - they opted for a first look by the water in Port Perry, the wind although pretty strong that day was my favourite because we were able to capture such stunning poses with the wind blowing in Michelle’s hair by the water - most brides aren’t fans of the wind in their hair on their wedding day, but I think it looks so beautiful! We were just about to wrap up their portraits when a huge down pour of rain happened and we all made a run for cover! Even though Michelle and David were soaked from the rain, they still laughed and just enjoyed their day - and I think it turned out beautifully, so many amazing memories were created that day and the smiles on their faces proved just how happy they were to celebrate their love with their loved ones that day!
Michelle & David, I hope you guys have been enjoying married life so far and that you continue to create beautiful loving and happy memories together for many more years to come! All the best!
Although it’s pretty brisk day outside today, I thought I’d post something a little warmer…
These adorable humans are getting married next June at the lovely Royal Ashburn Golf Club and I can’t wait to work with them again! Kathleen is a talented photographer herself and it’s always an honour when other photographers hire me to capture their most special memories.
We chatted about how different it is to be on the other side of the camera, they were nervous to do their photos but I am mean… they nailed them! They were just being themselves, all cute and cuddly and you could see how much they adored one another.
Just scroll down and see for yourself… so much love!
In the beginning of the year, I hosted a lifestyle session giveaway and had the oppertunity to work with this lovely family as they were anticipating the arrival of their next greatest adventure!
Amy and her family welcomed me into their home and allowed me to capture them just as they were - a lovely afternoon spent playing and making memories as a family. There was even a small guest appearance of their adorable dog!
I always love chatting to my clients and getting to know them a little more, Amy recently lost her Mom and I opened up and shared about loosing my Dad. It’s tough when you are bringing in little ones into the world and your parent isn’t there to share their words of wisdom or make memories with their grand-babies. But having experienced so many moments where I know my Dad is with us, it helps make things a little easier, at least in that moment. Amy shared a moment of her Mom being with her, she had spoke with a pyschic who explained that her Mom knew she would have a baby girl. They weren’t finding out the gender and sure enough, they welcomed their baby girl this year. How amazing is that?! It gave me goosebumps when Amy told me and I was anxiously awaiting to hear the news of their baby and was SO happy for her when I saw her post a photo of their beautiful baby girl. Grandma definitely sent her! So very special!
This session is definitely a favourite of mine from this year, lifestyle sessions at home are always so warm and cozy, full of so many wonderful memories - your home is where you spend most of your time, what is more special then capturing your family just as they are, your kids just being kids and your house filled with love and laughter.
Thank you to this beautiful family for allowing me to capture them and I hope to capture more memories for you all in the future!
How wonderful it is being a photographer and being able to connect again with those you’ve known for many years. I worked with Rachel at the Royal Ashburn Golf Club and we attended both elementary and highschool together, she was a year older than me but we’ve known each other since we were young and I even have photos of us in Brownies together.
Rachel reached out to me for her wedding photos in spring of 2017 and although I wasn’t able to photograph her specail day, I am so honoured that I was able to photograph photos of these two as they started their family. Those first memories with your new baby are some of the most wonderful yet exhausting times but it is so important to capture them anyway you can because as parents we all know how long some days can feel but how quickly the years really go by.
Congratulations to you both once again! Nora is absolutely beautiful, wishing you and your family more amazing memories to come. The days and memories just get better and better :)
