Kait had contacted me back in July of 2017 for their upcoming September wedding. She’d been following on instagram for a while and had fallen in love with my work. As any couple usually does while planning their wedding, they chat about checking out a couple photographers. However when Kait showed Rob my website his response was, “wow, her photos are beautiful!”. So thankful and honoured they chose me to capture their day!
They’ll be tying the knot in Prince Edward County and I can’t wait!!! It’s been on my bucket list to shoot a wedding there!! YAY! These two are also SO stinkin cute… I can’t wait to capture more memories for them! So is there adorably sweet pup, she had a ball playing in the leaves too.
Kait & Rob, you two are such a fun loving couple and this session was so much fun, loved working with you both. Can’t wait for more fun times in September! Enjoy all the planning and many celebrations to come!
2017 has been one of the most amazing years for myself and yet the quietest for K. Thompson Photography. My business use to be my baby, but this past May I welcomed my new baby, my new love.
She has stolen my heart from day one and has kept me pretty busy and enjoying this rollercoaster that is Motherhood. I had decided pretty early on in my pregnancy that I was going to take a step back from photography for 2017 and enjoy this new journey. I can tell you that it was the best decision in more ways than one.
I photographed 4 weddings and 20 photo sessions. A much quiet year compared to 2016 with 15 weddings and 40 photo sessions.
I want to thank everyone who has been apart of my business journey, you’ve helped me pursue my dreams. I am always so honoured to be behind my camera documenting a lovely couples wedding day or family moments. Thank you so much for the continued support, it really does mean so much to me!

It was such a pleasure working with these two for their wedding day in October of 2016. When they contacted me about their Elmhirst wedding date, I was so excited as this is the exact venue my husband and I were married at in June of 2014. A fall wedding at this venue was absolutely stunning - the lake, the colours, and the delicious meal that Elmhirst puts on is incredible. Everything about Cassandra & Fred’s day was beautiful, from the flowers to the reception table decor, the dresses (HER gorgeous ball gown dress!) and the guys attire - everything was truly stunning and came together so nicely.
I’ve had the pleasure of capturing two amazing memories for this couple over the past year and I am so happy I was able to photograph their wedding and their newborn photos as they welcomed their daughter in July of 2017. I have also had the joy of getting to know both these two a little more and having mommy and baby play dates with Cassandra as our little girls are only a couple months apart.
Cassandra & Fred, I hope you two have been enjoying married life and all the moments with your sweet baby girl. You two are such a fun couple and so welcoming. Little Zoey is lucky to have you as her parents! It’s been wonderful working with you both and getting to know you guys more - I wish you so many more beautiful memories together and hope to be able to capture many more special moments for your family.
I felt this needed to be blown up haha…. I went to highschool with Jordan, so it was crazy walking into the cottage where the guys were getting ready and seeing him. It’s been over 10 years since we last saw each other and he’s still that crazy hilarious guy I remember from highschool…
Today is SUPER cold out there… so I thought I’d bring us back to a warmer time… although I remember it was a little chilly this day too, but compared to today it felt like a warm summer breeze.
Jason and Tracey were married at Wooden Sticks Golf Club in Uxbridge in October of 2016, a beautiful venue with the prettiest Fall light and colourful trees that day! Their day was beautiful from start to finish, full of so much love and laughter betewen them and everyone who shared in their celebration.
I hope you two are enjoying married life together and that adorably sweet fur baby of yours that recently joined your family. I wish you two nothing but more years of love and laughter just as you shared on your wedding day. All the best you two!
One of my top goals for the new year is to keep this blog updated a little more… I completely failed at the 12 days of blogging. UGH - I knew it would happen but I really did try, I promise! My boss baby is pretty demanding, soaks up most of my time, but I mean… if you’ve seen how stinkin cute she is, it really doesn’t matter. She can have all my time … hugs, kisses… OK… back to it. Mom mode took over there ;)
So, on the blog today is a lovely Fall engagement session with an adorable couple of mine for this 2018 wedding season (ahhh! so exciting!!) and their seriously cute dog, Bailey. Just wait until you see the final pic on this post!
Laney & Chris, I hope you guys have been enjoying all the planning so far and the many celebrations that have happened and are still to come, enjoy being engaged and make sure to find some days or nights to relax too - the planning can be stressful but completely worth it in the end. Looking forward to working with you guys for your special day!
Haha.. apparently she curls up like this a lot with Chris. So sweet!
LIKECOMEON… How cute is this Save the Date photo!?
